Geekulous is a place where you can find the most up to date articles on anything happening in the wonderful world of technology, specifically Web 2.0 and social media. My goal with Geekulous is to not only entertain but to make some of these products and services more accessible to people just beginning to discover the wonders of this new internet. Geekulous is full of interesting articles about the world of tech as well as informative how-to articles to help you utilize the technology to your advantage to make your life easier.
Ever since I can remember I’ve loved gadgets, especially ones that make my life a little easier. Over the past few years I have found myself jumping from one cool new gadget/computer setup/software to another while extensively researching each new addition to my collection. I have found myself to be on somewhat of a quest to find gadgets, software and other utilities to make my life easier. In my quest I do a lot of research. When I’m researching gadgets or software I rely on other websites to get the information I’m seeking. I created Geekulous to add another resource for gadget geeks and do it yourself-ers to turn to. Geekulous chronicles all the great ideas, gadgets and software that I come across in my quest to use technology to make life easier. It is intended to add a female voice to the plethora of tech blogs out there.
I’m a 29 year old girl geek who has an affinity for anything involving Web 2.0, social media and gadgets. I love writing about what I know and using my knowledge to help people step into this new world of technology and use it to make their lives easier and more fun. I have recently (within the last 4 years) become an Apple fangirl – so much so that I have an Apple tattoo. Yes, I’m a geek and proud of it.
By day I’m a behavior analyst (I work with children with Autism). I’ve recently finished my Master’s degree in Special Education. Now that I don’t have to worry about writing my thesis I can focus more of my attention to Geekulous (which is why you see the gap in posting dates). I’m also an aspiring roller derby girl. When I’m not working or skating, I can usually be found working on my blog or spending time with friends and family.
